Dr. Ayinde Mohammed Usman is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He holds both B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from the same department and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, with a specialisation in signal processing and machine learning.

Dr. Usman is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a certified member of the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA), and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA.

His research interests include data communications, networking systems, wireless communication networks, machine learning applications in biomedical and bioacoustics signal processing, and digital twin technology. With extensive industry experience in telecommunications and power systems, he brings valuable practical insight into his teaching and academic responsibilities.

Dr. Usman has published peer-reviewed journal articles, presented at international conferences, and served in various academic and administrative roles, including Level Adviser, Member of the Departmental Board of Examiners, and Chairman of the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Relations Committee.
