Prof. Abdulrahman Yusuf Amuda

A. Y. Abdulrahman, born on the 7^th September, 1974, is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He obtained B. Eng and M. Eng degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1999 and 2005, respectively from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He also obtained a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, (UTM), Malaysia in 2012, on the research topic titled, “Development of Terrestrial rain attenuation transformation model for slant-path attenuation prediction in tropical climate”.

Professor Abdulrahman Amuda Yusuf was employed in 2001 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where he rose to the rank of Full Professorship in October 2023. His areas of research interests include radiowave propagation, antenna measurements and designs, mobile and personnal communication and measurement and instrumentation. He has published over 50 articles mostly in international journal outlets. He is a member of International Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Antenna & Radio Propagation (IEEE, A&RP), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and he is a registered engineer with the Council of Registration of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
