Dr. Akindele Segun AFOLABI is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He obtained his B.Eng. and M.Eng. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Ilorin, and Ph.D. Degree from Kobe University. Dr. Afolabi has over a decade of University teaching, research, and administrative experience and has served as the Departmental Examination Officer, Level Adviser, SWEP Coordinator, Undergraduate Project Coordinator, and Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator. He is a member of the Faculty of Engineering Dress Code Committee and is currently the Departmental Examination Officer. Dr. Afolabi has supervised several Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
He is the author and co-author of several journal publications and edited conference proceedings. His research interest includes Mobile Edge Computing, D2D Communications, and Mobile adhoc networks. He is a registered with COREN and is a member of other professional bodies.
