Biography

Dr. Joy Bolanle OGUNSAKIN is a Lecturer I at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin. She has a B.Eng (2005), M.Eng (2010), and PhD (2022) in Electrical Engineering, University of Ilorin Ilorin. Nigeria.

Administrative Positions occupied within the university include: Departmental SIWES Coordinator (2012/2013 and 2013/2014 sessions; Departmental Level Adviser in 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 sessions; and SWEP Coordinator 2023/2024 session.

Her Research interests are in Digital Image Processing, Biometrics, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision. She has publications in reputable journal outlet and has supervised many final year project thesis. Her professional affiliations include Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and Graduate Women International (GWI).
