Biography

Prof. Nazmat Toyin Surajudeen-Bakinde is a staff of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET). At the University level, she was an Assistant Director (Administration), Centre for International Education, representative of the faculty on the Academic Planning & Curriculum, Member, University Mock Accreditation, the Senate Representative on Research Grant Committees and Hall Mistress at the Atlantic Height Private Hostel all at University level. She was Chair FETiCON24, Alumni, Welfare, Ethical Review and a member of the Mock Accreditation & Outcome Based Education Committees. At the department, she was a Level Adviser, a PG Coordinator, Head of Department, member of Quality Assurance Committee.  Prof. Nazmat is specialized in Telecommunications. She was appointed by the President of University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology, The Gambia, His Excellency, Adama Barrow as the First Female Vice-Chancellor in the Gambia and took over on 3^rd October, 2024.
